Team Introduction
Faizan Ahmad
My Name is Faizan Ahmad, I am 25 years old and have been living in Turku since Autumn 2016. I am a business student studying at Turku University of Applied Sciences and my interests are marketing and entrepreneurship. This project interested me since I am a gamer myself and have been for 19 years. I took sound very seriously while gaming and it gave me an advantage over my opponents. Moreover, I have a blind friend who made me realize about the struggles of being visually disabled and why it is important to consider them in competitive activities, in this case, Electronic sports.
Hello everyone, Mari here.
I’m a 26 years old Exchange student who is studying Graphic Design and
I’m currently busy doing a Game Development semester here in Finland.
My interests are gaming which includes all types of games
from Tomb Raider to games like Worms Armageddon. I also like reading and doing art and
illustration as hobbies.
My expectations of this course are to experience how it
feels to work for a real client and develop my skills in working in a
group. I hope to grow and become more
professional to be ready for when I begin my career.
My strengths lie in graphic design and illustration. I can do traditional mediums as well as
digital illustration. I am quite good with character designs and since I’m a
graphic designer too, I can design icons, logo’s and promotional posters. My weaknesses can be my shyness which can
hold me back when doing group work, but I always try to do my best in my given
tasks.
My previous work experience includes doing illustrations for
a children’s book that is to be published sometime next year and doing
illustrations for a board game for a gaming company.

I want to learn how is it like to be a part of a game development project. I
also want to improve my coding skills since I’ve been previously working with smaller

Topias Vesterlund
I am a 21-year-old ICT student with focus on networking and
this is my third year in TUAS. I would like to learn how to implement the
skills I have learned in a lab environment to something concrete. One of my
biggest strengths is that I come along with a lot of different types of people.
Another strength is that when I really put my mind into something, I want to
make it the best I can. The biggest weakness for me is finding the motivation
to start working on something especially at home when there is so much other
stuff I would rather do. I do not have any previous work experience in IT since
I did my military service last autumn, which forced me to use the summer for
studying missed courses and doing some paid work on the side.
